The theme song to The Lego Movie, this song presents the listener with the same questions as the movie's protagonist Emmett does: is its message naive and simplistic, or sincere and important? Is the insanely catchy tune immature and trivial, as the character Wildstyle would think, or is is it cheerful and encouraging as Emmett finds it?

This 8-part arrangement was written for a Come and Sing day, so is designed to be relatively simple to learn, but with enough challenges to offer a sense of achievement when mastered. The harmony and voicing decisions are crafted to give a clean, bright, plasticky sound world that locks together well, and having 8 parts offers opportunities to juxtapose blocks of sound in quick succession, like lego bricks. The challenges are thus those of coordination and cognitive alertness; the vocal ranges are all accessible and the lines readily singable.
